THIS IS IT!

Welp, I've done it! I've bought a shiny new name, worked with some awesome people (mariozig and emmiebee) and have come to the point where I reveal my work! Dont get me wrong, theres still things to be done, but I am just too anxious to start writing and posting pics on the new site.

Here's the thing...If you love reading about us (and we thank you so much) you'll have to type this new shiny address up there.

I will be keeping Everyday Everly up, but not going. You will have to visit the new place for the updates.

The new name isnt Everyday Everly. Why? Well because, I like writing about OUR days. Somedays that might mean I have things to say about Jon and I AND Everly. Also? Someday (not any day soon) we want to add to our little family. I want to be able to integrate everyone. Theres a story behind the name, but you'll hafta see when you get there.

So thats it folks! Go on over, make yourself comfy and enjoy.

changes in the wind.

Hi everyone. Im sorry I have not posted in quite some time but things have been busy lately. We were computer-less for a few days and I am so super close to revealing our new website...Im so very excited to start a fresh new page. Also, Ive been enjoying some quality time with my sweet baby girl. She has been sleeping like an angel at night during the day she has been so happy and content with whatever we are doing. Ive really been trying to soak up the moments since this past month has been a bit rough on both Everly and I. Ill most likely go into that more in the new blog but our day have been filled with smiles and sunshine *fingers crossed* that the sunshine stays and the rain doesnt take over our summer like last year.

So stay with us, things are just changing, but we are still here. Hope everyone has a safe and happy Memorial Day. Im thankful to be spending it with my favorite veteran...oh, my husband.

The Cauliflower Chronicles Part 2

I made some mangos and blueberries and Everly pretty much freaked her freak. She loved every bite and is enjoying them daily for breakfast with oatmeal. I loved handing her a little piece of a whole blueberry and watching her face get stained with its purple juice. She is starting to mash food with her gums and is getting the hang of finger foods. Im excited for this summer when more fruits and veggies are in season and we can share all the yummy flavors with her.

The cauliflower chronicles

I have been making baby food today, and wanted to snap a few pictures to show my progress. So far we have cauliflower and carrots, eggplant and summer squash and zucchini with lentils. Im also whippin up some mangos and blueberries.

a few of my favorite things

Matching mother-daughter sunglasses
Being quiet enough to snap a pic of Everly sleeping.
Letting her nap with just a diaper on and having the window open so she can feel the breeze.
Her ability to get into the crawling position now.
Her new love of the door stopper....oh and bright orange cloth diapers.

she'll be here all night.

Since Miss Ev can now sit up completely unassisted she gets quite bored in any contraption we put her in for too long. She is an explorer. The other day i was making dinner and she was getting bored in her bouncer and proceeded to let me know about it! I didnt want to put her in the other room because she was in a good mood and I love to see her interact when shes happy, so I plopped her onto the kitchen floor and gave her some 'instruments' and showed her how to make her own music....and boy, did she. She was banging the tupperware with the wooden spoon and then chewing on it, naturally. I have memories of playing on my Grandmother's floor in the kitchen. She reserved the drawer under the oven for all the kid friendly things and we were free to open it up and play with everything in it. Im excited that Ev can now play independently and create her own music...and memories. Oh, and she'll be signing autographs for whoever's interested.
